MINUTES CITY OF JOSEPHINE – CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 2011   Mayor Mike Holmes called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm.  Council members present: Kevin Dudley, Barbara Newton, Lynn Gilbreath and Mayor Mike Holmes.  Council members absent:  Larry Aaron and Arron Gilbreath.   Invocation:  Mayor Mike Holmes   Lynn Gilbreath made a motion to approve the minutes from the October 11, 2011 regular meeting.  Seconded by Barbara Newton.  All in favor, the motion carried.   Report from the Water Department given by Kirk Peters.  For the month of October, there were:  1 water tap installed, 4 line locates, 1 water meter set, 3 meter turn on, 1 meter turn off, 2 meter re-reads, 1 service line leak and 1 main sewer stoppage.  Weed eating done at the pump station and the old water tower.   Report from the Fire Department given by Chief Brooks.  For the month of October, there were:  15 fire calls, 5 motor vehicle accidents and 10 other.  14 calls were in the county, 7 in the city and 9 mutual aids.   Report from the Police Department given by Chief Jacobs.  For the month of October, there were:  11 citations issued and 94 calls for service.  4 calls were out of the city limits.   Barbara Newton made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2011-11-14 to change the date for city elections to the November uniform election date beginning in 2012 in order to contract jointly with Collin County.  Seconded by Lynn Gilbreath.  All in favor, the motion carried.   Barbara Newton made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2011-11-14A to remove Gilbert Hess as a signer on the safety deposit box at Citibank in Caddo Mills, Texas and to add Mike Holmes.  Seconded by Lynn Gilbreath.  All in favor, the motion carried.   Barbara Newton made a motion to approve moving funds out of the regular water checking account at Citibank in Caddo Mills, Texas into the existing money market account to draw a better interest rate.  Seconded by Lynn Gilbreath.  All in favor, the motion carried.   Lynn Gilbreath made a motion to adjourn at 7:20 pm.  Seconded by Barbara Newton.  All in favor, the motion carried.    ATTEST:                                          APPROVED BY: Patti Brooks – City Secretary       Mike Holmes – Mayor
