MINUTES CITY OF JOSEPHINE – CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 8, 2010   Mayor Mike Holmes called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.  Council members present:  Todd Kingrey, Angela Gay, Terry Wagner, Lynn Gilbreath and Arron Gilbreath.   Invocation:  Mike Holmes   Arron Gilbreath made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 11, 2010 regular meeting.  Seconded by Lynn Gilbreath.  All in favor, the motion carried.   Report from the Water Department given by Kirk Peters.  For the month of January there were:  1 water tap, 1 line locate, 2 meters set, 3 meter turn ons, 8 meter turn offs, 1 after hour reconnect, 3 water meter re-reads, 1 water meter leak, 3 service sewer stoppages, 1 water leak check and 8 calls for no water (frozen lines on customer side).  Also installed 1 curb stop.   Report from the Street Department given by Kirk Peters.  Various bad areas in town were bladed and the culvert by the sewer plant was replaced with a larger one.    Report from the Fire Department given by Chief Brooks.  For the month of January there were:  9 fire calls, 7 medical calls and 4 other calls.  5 calls were in the city and 15 calls in the county.    Report from the Police Department given by Officer Jacobs.  For the month of January there were:  19 citations issued, 1 child advocacy center call and 73 calls for service.  2 of the calls for service were out of the city limits.   Arron Gilbreath made a motion to allow the city to purchase a catch pole and new cage for animal control purposes.  Seconded by Lynn Gilbreath.  All in favor, the motion carried.   Angela Gay made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 2010-02-08 to set the institutional out of city limit water rates amended to correct the last section to read “Sewer” instead of “Water”.
