City of Josephine HOME Grant
We are proud to announce that the City of Josephine has been awarded the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs HOME Reservation Grant. We were first awarded this grant in 2005 and from 2005 -2017, seventeen new homes were build for residents that qualified.
We will start taking applications on April 12, 2021 through May 28, 2021. Applications are now available at City Hall, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. CLICK HERE for more information.

On May 11, the Collin County Commissioners Court took the first steps to distribute direct financial assistance for housing, utilities, and groceries; increased COVID-19 testing; personal protective equipment; and, COVID-19 costs and recovery efforts for cities and towns. Formal Disaster Declaration for the City of Josephine
Update - Friday, May 1st, 2020
While all city services are to remain operational, City Hall will continue to be closed for the protection of our staff and citizens of Josephine until May 8, 2020, unless extended.
Also, assembly for religious services in the City of Josephine will be permitted, consistent with Governor Greg Abbott's GA-16 attachment of joint guidance order from the Attorney General as long as it complies with the linked protocols.
All other businesses operating in the City of Josephine are bound to the regulations set forth by Governor Abbott in accordance with expanded reopening of services in Texas starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020.

The City of Josephine Mayor, Joe Holt has issued a formal disaster declaration for the City of Josephine in response to the growing Coronavirus pandemic. This declaration is in response to National, State and local efforts to contain the spread of the virus and respond to any public health emergencies that may arise. This declaration will ensure that our community has the ability to access available resources and supplies as well as to take action needed to promote health and safety as we all work together to combat this public health emergency.

City Awarded Superior Water System Award by TCEQ
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality determined that the City of Josephine's water system meets the TCEQ's Superior Public Water System recognition requirements.
This award puts the City of Josephine in the top 3% in the state!

Superior & ‘A’ School District Ratings
In 2019, the Community Independent School District received an A rating from the Texas Education Agency and a Superior rating for the 4th consecutive year from the state's school financial accountability rating system, FIRST.

Our residents requested it, and we listened. We now have online bill pay for water utility and municipal court fees.

Collin County Project Funding Assistance Program
The CCPFAP completed a review of applications and provided funding recommendations, which were approved by Commissioners Court on September 26, 2016.
